The Breakers Diving and Surfing Lodge is the perfect base for kite surfers. The hotel is situated just a few minutes from one of the best spots in the world for kite surfing.

Soma Bay’s spectacular bay offers fantastic flat water conditions and pristine sandy beaches, coupled with perfect side shore winds that range from 4-8Bft all year round. On a typical day, Soma Bay guarantees you at least 2Bft more than the next nearest resort along the Red Sea coast! The wind is accelerated by the close proximity of the mountains to the sea. This also makes for one of the most beautiful spots for kite surfing in the whole of Egypt.

Soma Bay's 7BFT Kite House is a complete purpose built kite surf teaching and testing centre with state of the art equipment for teaching and hire. Professionals and beginners are both catered for with video and headset training aids that make learning to kite surf and improving your technique easier, and safer. VDWS licenses are offered with training up to Instructor level.

7BFT offers exclusive teaching and testing weeks with the latest Core, Rodwy and Carved equipment throughout the year. A kite surf bar, accessory shop, storage area and top of the range gear hire station is available on site at our exclusive centre. Guests can also chill out at the 7BFT Beach Bar for drinks, snacks, music and relaxation.
