Watersports: Diving
The Breakers Diving and Surfing Lodge offers exclusive diving and personalized service from one of the largest and best-equipped diving centres in the Red Sea managed by Orca Dive Clubs.
Jetty
Our purpose-built diving centre is situated on a 1km stretch of house reef that is packed with diverse marine life. A 420m wooden jetty extends directly from the dive centre to reef’s edge. Electric cars are available for carrying equipment (and divers!) for effortless access. A large turquoise-blue lagoon lies at the front of the reef and provides sheltered waters. The diving centre also offers spacious changing facilities and showers, classrooms with AC equipment, bar, shop and personal lockers.
 
Sea View
As well as all day house reef diving, a fleet of dive boats access the many beautiful dive sites in the Soma Bay and Safaga region from the Soma Bay marina. The dive sites in this area have the advantage of being considerably less crowded that those found elsewhere in the Red Sea and include coral gardens, walls, drop-offs and wrecks suitable for all levels of experience. Half day and full day trips are available, as well as special trips to famous sites such as Panorama Reef and Abu Kifan.
     
Orca Logo Orca Dive Clubs manages the Soma Bay Dive Centre. Orca has been operating in the Red Sea since 1990 and has a reputation for excellence of service and an exceptionally high repeat guest rate of around 90%. A full range of diving courses is available on site. The swimming pool at the Breakers Diving and Surfing Lodge is also specially designed for diver training with a 2.20m depth for beginners.
